Startup Grind Baltimore will kick off 2013 with its first event on January 29 at Loyola University Maryland from 6-8pm. The Baltimore chapter is sponsored and hosted by Wasabi Ventures, an early stage venture capital and incubation firm. This event will feature Baltimore native Vince Talbert.

Talbert is the co-founder of Bill Me Later, which was ranked #6 on the INC 500 in 2007 and was acquired by eBay for $1 billion in 2008. He is now an active member of the Baltimore education community, supporting efforts to transform public education.

Startup Grind is an event series designed to help educate, inspire, and connect local entrepreneurs. It was started in 2010 by a group of friends who would get together to “brainstorm, provide feedback on each others ideas, and hopefully spawn the next big thing,” wrote Derek Andersen, co-founder of Startup Grind. Startup Grind now has chapters in 40 cities and 15 countries.
